Within Romsey Centre Pre-school our highly experienced team of staff provide children with a safe, secure, happy and inspiring day. Our manager is an Early Years Professional holding a BA in Early Years Practice. We follow a child centred approach encouraging children to develop as individuals as they learn through play within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We aim to meet our children’s individual needs by:
Offering appropriate play, education and care facilities for all children age whatever their race, culture, religion, means or ability.
Providing a happy, secure, rich and varied learning environment.
Valuing each child as an individual leading to a sense of personal worth and respect for self and others.
Ofsted reported that:
Staff are good role models for the children. The quality of teaching, including the routine of the day and the use of play space is good overall.
Parents share information about what children know, and can do, before children start at the pre-school. This helps staff to support new children well and plan activities that meet their individual learning needs.
Children play and explore happily, choosing from a wide range of exciting activities and resources.
Parents are highly positive about the pre-school. The effective key person system ensures parents regularly receive information regarding their children's well-being and learning.
